Precious Plastic Blog
Welcome to our blog showcasing our project to convert ocean plastic into life saving products, as part of the Precious Plastic global community.
In the spirit of international partnership students from Wales, UK have joined forces with students in Kamaishi, Japan. Together we are building machines to turn ocean plastic into chairs, tables and one day we hope; life-saving equipment to support disaster prevention like lifebuoys, rescue boards, lifejackets and even lifeboats.
1. Collect

Our Aims
Revive the ocean
We are inextricably linked to the sea and play an active part in protecting it. Our work in Japan contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Increase Awareness
We educate young people about the importance of enjoying and respecting the ocean from an early age.
Build A Community
We are committed to supporting the revival of Kamaishi as a tourist destination. Cleaner oceans offer visitors a more pleasant seaside experience.
Please tell us your idea!
What are your creative ideas for new ways to tackle marine pollution from plastics?
We look forward to imaginative ideas that will provide a practical and viable solution to the plastic pollution crisis that is occurring in coastal towns around the world, including Kamaishi.
